Server Configuration
Important: SQL Server must be configured to use mixed-mode authentication. Pirouette currently only supports SQL Server authentication. The default on a new SQL Server install is Windows Authentication only, which will NOT work. You must enable mixed-mode authentication.
The following roles and features are required by Pirouette. This is configured from the ‘server manager’ in Windows Server.
The requirements are:
- Windows Server 2012 or newer
- SQL Server 2012 or newer. It must be ‘Standard’ or above – the free express version will not work
- The 5-cal pack for SQL licenses would be best in terms of licensing as Pirouette creates two users, one regular and one read-only for the custom reports module
